THE PHILOSOPHY
Why 26 Apothecary
Physician-selected solutions designed to support an active, comfortable lifestyle — often before surgery is ever considered.
The Gap Between Advice and Products
26 Apothecary was created from a simple observation: people are often overwhelmed by choices.
Every day, people dealing with bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, nerve pain, and other common foot conditions are presented with countless products claiming to provide relief. The challenge is knowing which ones are worth trying — and which ones are not.
As a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, I have spent years helping patients navigate those decisions. Throughout that process, I found myself relying on the same small group of products over and over again because they consistently helped people stay active, reduce discomfort, and improve their quality of life.
26 Apothecary was created to bring those products together in one place.
Rather than offering hundreds of products, our focus is on carefully selected solutions that serve a clear clinical purpose. Every product is chosen through the same lens I use in practice: Is it safe? Is it practical? Does it have the potential to help people avoid unnecessary discomfort and more invasive treatment options?
Our goal is simple — to help you make informed decisions and discover conservative treatment options that may help you move more comfortably and confidently.
Our Philosophy
Surgery can be life-changing when it is truly necessary. However, surgery is rarely the first step.
At 26 Apothecary, we believe in starting with the least invasive solution that has a reasonable chance of helping. For many people, that means beginning with supportive products, off-loading devices, splints, separators, orthotic solutions, and other conservative treatment options before considering more aggressive interventions.
This philosophy guides every product selection we make.
While no product can guarantee a specific outcome, we believe people deserve access to honest guidance, realistic expectations, and products selected through real clinical experience rather than marketing trends.
Our mission is not to sell products. Our mission is to help people stay active, comfortable, and moving for as long as possible.
What You'll Find Here
Every product featured on 26 Apothecary has been selected because it addresses a common challenge encountered in foot and ankle care.
Our collection includes physician-curated solutions for conditions such as bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, forefoot pain, arthritis, skin irritation, and other sources of foot discomfort. Many of these products are routinely used as conservative treatment options before considering more invasive procedures.
Whether your goal is reducing pain, improving comfort, protecting vulnerable areas, or supporting daily activity, our focus remains the same: providing practical solutions backed by clinical experience and professional judgment.
Every product here meets the same standard I apply when selecting conservative care options in my own clinic.
Why "26"?
The human foot contains 26 bones working together to support movement, balance, and activity. The name 26 Apothecary serves as a reminder of the remarkable complexity of the foot and our commitment to helping people care for it through thoughtful, conservative solutions.
"Every product here meets the same standard I apply in my own practice."
Every product is selected through a clinical lens, not a marketing one. We focus on conservative solutions that address common foot and ankle problems while supporting people who want to stay active and moving.
Not every product works for every person. That's why we focus on realistic expectations, practical solutions, and clear education so you can make informed decisions about your care.
As a foot and ankle surgeon, I believe surgery should be considered when it is necessary, not before. Whenever appropriate, conservative options are the starting point: simple, low-risk solutions that may support pain relief, improved function, and a more active life.
